Square Enix has announced that Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV will premiere this summer in Japan. The movie is first show on July 9, 2016. Square Enix also released a short commercial, featuring a brand new scene from an unknown place in the world of Final Fantasy XV.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV was announced during Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV on March 30, 2016. The new movie has a different goal behind its development than Square Enix’s previous CGI production: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Whereas this movie was dedicated for fans of Final Fantasy VII, Kingsglaive will be an introduction for newcomers to the world of Final Fantasy.
